Global Field Service Safety Manager
Job description
NMS Recruit are actively seeking an experienced Global Field Service Safety Manager to join a fantastic company in the marine and power generation sector. You can be based anywhere in the UK working remotely, flexibility is key as you will be required to travel on an international scale.
Responsibilities
Supervision of international construction sites (new construction and after sales) in mechanical and plant engineering
Supporting and advising global field service organisations on occupational health and safety issues
Standardisation of risk assessments, operating instructions and other HSE-relevant documents and records
Development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes within the framework of occupational health and safety management
Assumption of technical responsibility in the area of responsibility "HSE Global Field Service Industries" as well as definition, management and coordination of projects in the department
Carrying out audits, training and instruction in the area of responsibility
Further development of reporting and documentation systems as well as professional exchange with customer representatives and external partners
Maintaining a continuous dialogue to further develop an overarching HSE awareness.
Experience
Successfully completed training as an occupational safety specialist, safety engineer.
10+ years experience as a HSE Manager.
Ideally, additional qualifications such as health and safety coordinator and experience in the supervision of international construction sites in plant or mechanical engineering
Knowledge and experience in project management, occupational health and safety management, as well as in the context of the classic tasks of HSE regular support
High level of consulting competence as well as strong communication skills in dealing with internal and external process partners
Independent, goal-oriented way of working as well as flexibility and willingness to travel at short notice.
Proficient in English a second language would be beneficial.
Degree qualified preferred but not essential
Experience in rotating machinery preferred but not essential as product training will be provided.
NEBOSH & IOSH qualifications
Full UK drivers license
