Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Salary: £20K-£26K + £35K OTE
Location: Leeds, Yorkshire

My client is a leading provider of Cyber Security Services, IT hardware, and IT Solutions based in Leeds, Yorkshire. Due to rapid growth, they are looking to recruit motivated junior salespeople to be a part of their SDR team, moving into full Account Manager positions with a fast track career progression plan.
Job Summary:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in the sales process by identifying and qualifying potential customers for our Cyber products and/or services. As the first point of contact, the SDR will be responsible for generating leads, initiating meaningful conversations, and setting up appointments or demos for the sales team. The ideal candidate is a proactive and energetic individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for connecting with prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and research potential customers through various channels, including online research, social media, cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.
Qualification: Engage with leads to understand their needs, pain points, and buying potential to determine if they are a good fit for our products or services.
Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings or product demonstrations for the sales team, ensuring a smooth hand-off of information and providing the necessary context.
Nurturing Leads: Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers, nurturing relationships through follow-ups and relevant content to keep them engaged until they are ready to make a purchasing decision.
Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to provide valuable insights to the sales team.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other relevant stakeholders to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to lead generation and conversion.
Data Management: Keep accurate and detailed records of all interactions with prospects and customers in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and providing regular reports to management.
Continuous Learning: Continuously improve knowledge of the company's products or services, sales techniques, and industry trends to enhance performance and contribute to the growth of the organisation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience previously within a Sales or Lead Generation role
Proven experience in sales development, lead generation, or inside sales.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and confidently.
Excellent active listening skills to understand customer needs and pain points effectively.
Resilient and persistent with a positive attitude when facing objections or challenges.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales-related tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach.io).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Knowledge of the industry and the product/service being offered is a plus.
